heres the question ...

do we need better than we have or a back up player ?
which midfeilder out of , osman fellaini cahill arteta pienaar , do you drop if we get a first teamer ?

for me we need better than we have (which rules bullard out as he wont come here to play second fiddle) and would have to replace osman ( a winger) or cahill ( a more all rounder cm).

from past rumours , obinna or canna would be perfect

parker ...no

Ossie every time for me

So we are regularly mentioned with jimmy bullard, but could we get someone else to bolster 'that' midfield position?

I bring to your attention the financial plight of west ham and the dire straights (MTV!) they are in. So the question is, would you fancy a cheeky punt on Scott Parker?

I can hear you already, its strikers we need, and blah blah blah, but we had strikers earlier this season and were losing because of a lack of midfield cohesion. In striker terms, although we are light right now its a very short term problem, any striker we get with either be a loan (not great) or expect a decent contract and decent transfer fee - and do we have the room on the wage bill for such an addition to the forward line - a forward line consisting of yakubu, saha, vaughan, anichebe.

We dont have a Scott Parker type in our squad, he is 28 and a proven class midfielder. Would not be a bad player for Rodwell to learn alongside.

I think he'd give us some spark and bite in the middle of the park. Wether Moyes would rekindle his interest tho is another matter. I'd be happy to see him here (y)

Not for Bullard though, there's not much difference between them. I can't see Bullard improving us.

I'd rather replace Ossie with a natural winger and keep Mikel in the middle.

yea id go with that.

pienaar is for me the only natural wide man we have (vdm being another perhaps ?) ossie and arteta both have more cm tendancies in there range of skill.

although not a bad player , i think ossie lacks a bit of strength to be deemed a top class cm , but he lacks a bit of pace and a cross to be judged as a top class wide man.

if we get a new wide man , a classy rw , and keep arteta fellaini and cahill in the center , then osman will be a great assett to have on the bench perhaps ?

I like Parker, but I really would prefer to get a winger first.

Nobody mentioned it, but I can see Parker salarie being quite high at WHU, don't know if we could afford him, or if he would agree for a pay cut.

Yes Parker would be a good move just for the experience for felaini & castilo, and bullard is an ugly [Poor language removed] we have the best looking team in the country.
