Ok the back story to AVDM is, he was awesome at Ajax, lost his way at Inter, but he was still a talent. We signed him without really checking into his off field credentials. Now this brings me to my first point about Moyes. He can't nurture talent, he can't sort players out off field. Unlike Alex Ferguson who is a master at it, Moyes doesn't seem to have a clue.

So why spend £3m???

Right, so he doesn't play him, and rightly so, but then he also makes no attempt to address the situation, to get to the root of the problem.

This season he is given the No.7 jersey. Now in my book that is prestigious and would be a clear signal of intent. Now I have not heard of any reports of off the field antics. He hasn't been seriously injured. So what the [Poor language removed] is going on?

Now I have kept a close eye on the reserve team, and hardly a sign of AVDM playing there. Now he is on the bench and given 5 minutes to make a difference. In my book I thought he looked lively, but then 5 minutes is hardly enough time for anyone to pass judgement on a players career.

So my second point about Moyes is this. How can he consider playing a guy for 5 minutes when he has hardly played all season??? He may as well have brought on Kissock. But then I thought maybe Moyes still rates VDM and reckons he could have made an impact. So why bring him on with 5 minutes to go? Why not play him in the reserves to bring his fitness up? Why?

I tell you why. Because hasn't got a [Poor language removed] clue and will not change from his eleven unless he is backed into a corner and he has no other option.

I am making a [Poor language removed] statement about a player who is now being messed around and not really been given a fair crack of the whip.

So unless you have anything to contribute why don't you shut the [Poor language removed] up, BK that way. ->
 
Tbh mate im tired of your kneejerks. You know [Poor language removed] all about what is going on behind the scenes at Everton Football Club. You are not one to judge the manager on how he decides to utilise a certain player in the squad... it is his squad. Thats all there is to it.

Maybe he isn't getting a "fair crack on the whip", or maybe he just doesn't deserve or merit it. At the end of the day, neither me or you will ever know. So what the [Poor language removed] are you lambasting Moyes for!?

yes but this is a forum with opinions, if we all went by your rules no one would write [Poor language removed] all?
 
I thought he picked up a hamstring injury in the pre season. He was listed as injured on the OS for a while.
And surely it's Holden who picks the reserve team ?

Anyway he had 5 minutes, and looked VERY hungry. Which is more than we can say about Cahill recently.
I'd like to see him start on the right against city with Osman up behind Saha.
And someone please tell them that they are allowed to shoot from outside the area.
 
Youre wrong Mr Dixie and very misguided. VDM hasnt been in the team as he's been a bag of [Poor language removed]. Dont use it as an attempt to beat Moyes up with it, its contemptible.

Well do you know? I'm just using a little intelliegence and trying to understand why Moyes signs a player, doesn't play him, gives him no 7 jersey, doesn't play him (even in the reserves) and thinks he can give him 5 minutes and get an impact.

So regardless if you think it is a kneejerk reaction, it is a reaction to what just occurred. Its not kneejerk its just my opinion on what Moyes is doing. I am allowed that opinion, and like I say if you don't like it, why don't you do one.

So then why pick him? Why play him? Why bring him on with 5 minutes to go and expect an impact?

I'm not saying VDM is an angel and its all Moyes. But there is some young lads on the bench who probably deserve it more than VDM, and are more fit.
 

We'd all be pleased with getting a late equaliser but they mugged us.

Lets not do the scapegoat thing, Everton played really well there and with a better striker up front would have won it.
