How long can you survive without a home internet connection?

Ive just gone about 4/5 months due to a dispute with virgin, just got sky bband and feel like i was in isolation without the net.

I wish I could say my life was enriched doing other things, but i cant, i even used dialup for 2 weeks then had to give up on it, although its a good way of getting round to doing jobs i'd put off while i waited for the pages to load!

Have i missed much around here?
