Fine, but nobody is flexible about these players is my point. The circumstances are different, the players he is playing with are different, so maybe it could reap different results from the player? But if he doesnt do it in the first couple of games, posters think this somehow reaffirms their opinion.
I'd also say, what possible benefit is there to being right about a player being crap? Whats the payoff for you?

There isn't one. What's the possible benefit of you being right about him if he comes good? Where's the payoff there?

Despite the miss he did look a touch sharper....Im sure he will come good in the end he just needs a little time....Remember it took Fellaini a full calendar year to even look like a player!

Errr Everton get more points? You have a vested interest in said player? You dont then get as annoyed about rotation of players, you can get behind whatever team is put out?

So Azzurri thought that Kone was poor last year?! Man what the hell did you think of our strikers then.

He hasn't set the world alight yet but really don't understand ripping him after hardly any game time. I hope he gets one soon and gets rid of that weight round his neck and starts playing with a bit of confidence.

Big step up for the lad made even harder by his own fans writing him off

It's clearly just the West African style, living by the sea and dancing on the beaches for a nighttime entertainment. There are loads of players that are similar, think about people like Saloman Kalou and Gervinho, Cisse, Adebayor. They all never really look like they've got the ball under control but sometimes that makes them look amazing and they score some goals. I like it, it's fun to watch.

That's got nothing to do with YOU being right about him though, has it? Our opinions don't matter in the slightest. I've never said anywhere I don't want him to come good, have I?

Oh and they were horrendous, mick, Anichebe aside when he could be arsed. I wouldn't say he was poor last season, exactly, just performing to the maximum of his somewhat limited technical ability. He was fantastic in that sense and I suppose you can't argue with goals.

Its a modern day thing where its trendy to be uber critique I think. Its of course a bit snide and speculative but if that player turns out to be crap then you can claim to have a scouting eye that will deliver the next Messi.

He could turn out plop for us like, his case isn't helped by Lukaku coming on deadline day as it will restrict his chances and lets face it - most strikers are going to look tame by comparison to his attributes.

At the least he should be given a season, if not then its a bit tittish.

No, you are right i have no effect, but team selection doesnt irritate me as much if one player gets picked, players can have a greater margin of error without me getting pissed off. I'm not saying there is a right or wrong way to support Everton, of course and I'm not having a go, I just dont understand the school of thought all that much really.

School of thought is that I don't think he's very good based on what I can see with my eyes and my footballing knowledge. Not much more to it than that, really.

So he reads GOT then?

Cos its not like I shout at him during the game, telling him how tosh he is, thats not and never will be my style, ive never slated an Everton player at the game and I never will.

I go the game to support the team.
