It's easy to spot someone's mistakes when they make them over and over again for an hour and a half every week.

Lukaku is a rough diamond but at least we're seeing great moments. Naismith's complete lack of technical ability is unforgivable.

I agree Lukaku is a great asset forward, but I think he really should be " more turned on". He should win more of these balls when we hoof it forward to release pressure. However, I think he is our best forward since Yak in his prime for us.

People need to take a step backwards and look at the bigger picture, it was a difficult game today against a great side.

We made some sloppy mistakes and didn't perform in the seconded half and you cant do that and expect to come away with something from these games because the other team WILL hurt you from them mistakes.

I thought before the game that regardless of the result we just needed to keep some of the recent form and show how well we can play - which I think we did.

First half we were playing really well and simply the better team. What ruined it was conceding straight after scoring, which is what happens when we switch off for no reason - could see it coming.

Following that, the ref was shocking and he was the reason they scored a second. Coleman and Distin were arguing with Negredo and pushing, while they went and scored a second. WHY THE REF DIDN'T STOP PLAY IS BEYOND ME.

Then we somehow didn't get a penalty for Lukaku getting pushed in the box, and I can't really blame us losing our fizz after these events. Only for them to get a penalty for a similar but even less obvious foul in the second half to finish us off.

The ref cost us the match, but we were playing a quality side and I believe we matched them in performance for the majority of it.

Only caught the first 15 minutes as I had appointments to sort in work but sounds like we weren't at the races today performance wise but still had some terrible decisions go against us such as a pen not given, play should have been stopped before there 2nd goal, Milner should have been sent off, there pen was a soft one and howard saves the pen but bounces in off him. If all thats true well that's just one of them days and another **** of a ref we can add to our long list of refs who are absolute ****s when it comes to reffing our games.

disappointing all round but lets move on and see if we can get back to winning ways against Bull Tigers.

Far from being a great side. Bayern Munich are a great side. They're the benchmark of what constitutes greatness. As was proved, City are far from it.

We were as poor as the referee. Disappointing to see so little reaction organisationally to the holes City were finding.

We've also got to start doing what all the successful sides do - trip the opposition players up as soon as they look like they're going to get into a dangerous position. Count up the number of times City did it today, even when the possession we had was only the half way line.

Midfield was where we lost the game, barkley ended up being crowded out of the game by fernandinho and toure who then attacked through osman....mccarthy was given a bit of space and played very well but*those two just were too powerful and osman is past his best to be kind.

Its a blip.
We'll absolutely destroy Hull at home in a few weeks and everything will be sound.

Everton are Boss.
Roberto is Boss.
Boss.

They sound absolute nails mate.

Poor refereeing was the feature of the game and City got the better of the decisions. We should have had a penalty in the first half and that would have been at a crucial point in the game, that was IMO the turning point.

Must admit though City have some great players and in the end desrved theeir win but it could have been so different. Tactically City did well, using Miner they clamped down on Baines!!

Osman was a nonenitity through out the game, (why is he still being Picked? Nasimith and Barkaly tried hard but faded in the 2nd half. It mat just be me but I thought Howard could have done better with regard to their goals. Why does he insist on doing the splits? should have run out at the feet of their player ala Nev. Still think we need a new goalie.

...I'm a glass half empty person so I didn't expect anything and we didn't get anything. What I hoped for were signs of progression against a side I expect will be crowned Champions come May. Generally, I thought we were ok. None of us like getting beat, but I don't think we need an inquest.

We played pretty well. It's the third game in a row where we've looked awesome in the first half and anonymous after the interval though. Perhaps it's because Lukaku and Barkley are setting the tempo and neither has learned how to properly pace themselves for 90 minutes yet?

For the City goals I don't think that we pressured the man in possession enough. Jags could have closed down Yaya to cut off the ball inside Coleman for Negredo's goal and we could have done more to stop Silva's pass into Aguero for their second.

I'm not seeing enough from McCarthy at the moment. Apart from his sliding tackle to deny a shot once Seamus had been beaten I don't remember him doing too much else. Deulofeu and Kone offered nothing when they came on.

It was good to see Roberto switching Naismith to try and offer our rightback more protection against the overlapping runs of Kolarov, but the Scot wasn't as effective at protecting his fullback as I'd anticipated.

I'm more disappointed with the ref than the performance really.
