It is quite funny seeing so many people accept defeat against a good team away from home when that was one of the main sticks to beat Moyes with.

Fair point

But lets give Martinez 11 years of ****ting them then compare records

Two bad defeats on the run and city were Lways coming into this game on a mission. I don't go with the 'we usually do them' line either: this is a different city manager with a lot of new faces in the team. It meant absolutely zero going in to this game.

We were second best to them today. End of story and we move on...it's just a tvvat we have the international break stopping us getting this one out of our system quickly.

The biggest disappointment today was seeing that the only back up for Lukaku is Kone, and he is absolute sh**e
Desperately need to bring in a striker in January.

Hmm, well city pretty good value for at least a 2-1 win, penalty pisses me off but that's the way they go away from home, most worrying thing really for me was Miralas who was dire pretty much all game and tbh was outclassed by Naismith who despite people complaining has had a pretty good game for the most part and was solid when cleaning up for our defence which is certainly why he started this game.

Also judging Kone when the rest of out players have all but given up might be a little harsh although to be fair he hasn't shown us anything at all yet.

Naismith was decent today. People having a go at him for his performance really are letting their agendas get in the way of sense. Mirallas wasn't good today but he played well against Newcastle, he does need to improve on his consistency, though.

Negatives:

- Disappointing defending (although against a very good City side)
- Coleman getting caught up in an argument for their 2nd goal
- Disappointing displays from Barkley and Mirallas given their recent form
- Another sh*te ref, a pen so soft it will be used as an ingredient for Dove's new moisturiser, not playing advantage well and giving out cards like a blackjack dealer

Positives:

- Another Lukaku goal
- McCarthy was impressive today I felt, shame he had Osman, an unfit Gibson and an bad form Barkley in midfield with him
- Naismith.....
- No really I'm being serious with that Naismith shout
- Coleman's response after the pen

Moyes did alright there himself with the league champions two weeks ago

Manchester City have a good team and they deserved to win

I am over this

Martinez has had one compared to Moyes' 40 odd, though.

Tbh I think it's good that people are recognising how difficult it is to win these games because it creates an air of realism. We saw today the gulf in quality in the second half, if we beat a couple of the other big 5 away from home this season then that's a brilliant achievement.

International break. Good for injury recovery, terrible for making a loss last longer

i would be okay with us losing if we played a good game and weren't royally screwed. ah well, at least we have a nice 3 points to look forward to when we come back - no offence hull

KONE looks a complete mystery on why we signed him to me no different or any better than Victor just older and slower! Today part from a shocking ref - we were poor passing wise and defended too deep - their joke of a pen killed any hope at times it was men v boys out there in the 2nd half - we looked poor, and created very little today I was hoping for a draw, but its our first defeat COYB!
