Arteta Is Important To Us But IsnT A Player Who Plays Well Week In And Out, But When He PLays Well He Is One Of THe Best PLayers In The Leauge :huh: But When He Doesnt Play Well He Dosnt Perform Well :huh: So Is He Acctually That Good Or Is He Just Important To Us????
 

Arteta is an important player, a good player, but he's never ever going to play for spain, he's nowhere near as good as the spanish internationals
 
He has symbolic importance rather than practical importance. He represents the type of player we used to be able to field and offers a link to the past.
 
He's always been a diamond in a sea of [Poor language removed] here really.

By far our most skillful player but not as good as we'd like to think he is unfortunatly.

For the past god knows how many years he has been pretty much our main creative player so thus very important to us. And therefor we have had to put up with him through poor spells whereas in other teams he would lose his place.
 

He hasnt hit the heights that he did a season or two back, but when he is playing like that then theres no doubt hes our most important player - whether he ever plays like that again remains to be seen.
 

i find that i get wound up by him lately in a way that i used to with kevin sheedy, he said in the press he was going to use a euro tournament to seal a move to celtic, he got injured and it never happened. then he would stroll around as if in slippers for us and play blinders for ireland, he went years where he never scored 1 of his "trademark" freekicks, it used to really frustrate me and i find arteta's hitting of the 1st man aggravates me in the same way.
