James Vaughan: A record?

he has no footballing brain. yes he runs and gets stuck in but at the moment anichebe is the more complete player.

honestly i can't make an assessment on that, simply because i haven't seen enough of either of them yet :D

i think vaughan is the more telling case, but you're right, either one of them should be getting more chances

honestly, from what i have seen of vaughan, he's looking more and more like a style of player similar to AJ (in a good way). whenever defences start passing the ball in the back, we should put him on to cause some disruption in the same way

he just runs round like a headless chicken, he's good at winning flick ons but not a lot else, i'd much rather ship him out and keep victor, but vics no winger.

Why ship him out? That doesn't make sense at all to be honest.

Your judging him on 5-10 minutes here and there. If he was starting games and playing poorly and not showing any potential then fair enough but that's not the case.

Whenever he starts he usually makes an impression and he's changed a few games coming on as sub. His goals to game ratio is better than Victors.

He's a better player than Vic, Always has been to be honest. He's just a little behind at the moment because of his injuries. I see no reason to get rid of him.

Class team in your picture.

Honestly though, i well miss Carsley, Manuel and AJ.

:(

Its a tough wrold and you have to earn your place. The standard he has to reach to start is the goals of Yak and Saha.

In fairness to both i thought they both looked dangerous today.

The timing of the subs was [Poor language removed] today, both Yakubua and Saha had poor games and we needed some urgency and movement up front. And Pienaar should have come on earlier.

Some of his link up play with superb, he won lots of headers aswell. My man of the match to be honest.

I agree though Yakubu was a bit off the pace today.

I'd like to loan Vaughan out to get some regular time but you know what happens?

The minute we do it, someone goes down with an injury.

I'd only loan him out if we could recall him in the event of injury.

But I think he's got a future with us. You just wouldn't know it by the amount of time he's seen so far.
