Not when it is done in such a leading manner it won't.
 

It's interesting when you look at the other crests - in that context, ours doesn't look so ridiculous. It fits in with the ideas that other clubs have tried to promote. I don't like the look of it but it is understandable. I reckon we might end up with a crest that isn't used everywhere. We have one overall crest for the shirt but then it's made up of it's various parts that we can brand with - laurels, tower, motto etc.

I really think the club's attitude and stance here should be applauded. Very few clubs would spend the money and time on an extra crest design because fans have had a shout on the internet.

It was supposed to only be open to season ticket holders and those who'd bought match tickets through the site.

Have they stuffed up by not locking it down? Seems so to me.

I've just filled in the questionnaire which is simple and straightforward.

To address the points above, yes, any fan from any club could fill it in, however the vast majority will be blues and therefore the club will still get an idea of what people are asking for. I don't think it'll skew their figures much.

Also, asking about other logos and badges is surely a good way to gauge what people think and therefore giving guidance on what to aim for? They're not asking anyone to support Hull or Barcelona, or even go out and buy every Apple product - they're merely trying to gauge opinion.

I just hope now that the result is satisfactory. As said above, a guaranteed way to fail is to try and please everybody. Good on them for recognising a mistake, listening to the fans, and trying to rectify it.

No, once people have put in suggestions, filled out the questionnaires etc, a number of options will be produced and a vote taken as to the best one. That vote will be restricted.
 
In my eyes the best would be just the tower and the two laurel wreaths stitched onto the shirt in either white or silver cotton (maybe silver for all those European games we're always in). No club name, no 1878, no shields or circles, just the tower and the wreaths. They could then modify this into whatever stupid graphics they want to appear on monday night football or whatever
