Very different types of shooters mate.

BF is large scale, focussing on team play to complete objectives.

COD is more fast paced, twitch like and on a much smaller scale.

Depends what your preference is, for me it would be Battlefield but to really enjoy it you need to playing with a good group of people.

Still the closest two competing shooters. Battlefield is constantly more innovative than CoD as well. I pretty much always play BF3 alone and enjoy it a lot, that's just me though.

I played them for years but have grown a tad weary now. Plenty of indie stuff on PC has been winning me over in the last few months.

I still like the odd game of Red Orchestra 2 or Arma 2 though...

I wouldn't say they're the closest comparing, they're the biggest shooters without question. But what I mean is that you can't compare them like you can Pro Evo and Fifa for example. BF can better be compared with something like Planetside 2 and COD could be better compared with Homefront, MoH or even Halo (more Halo 4 though).

But yeeah I enjoy playing BF alone too, but for me the experience is greatly amplified if I'm playing with mates or I get in a good squad.

You're right though, BF's innovation does highlight COD's stagnation in a way. I stopped buying them after Black Ops 1 anyway.

Going through an indie phase too mate. Some quality, original entertainment to be found on the cheap.

Of course I still enjoy a game or two of FIFA, but it's nice to mix it up. I don't understand people who buy a games console and spend all their time playing CoD and/or FIFA. To me it's like listening to only one band, or only watching one film franchise!

TF2 beats them hands down. And is much older, and still updated and is just better. DFhgdijpaksoghdaw

I'm bored of CoD, extremely bored, like I said, nothing has changed at all. With Battlefield it's very, very varied. Can just either be a proper sit back sniper, anti-vehicle etc etc. And also just loads of people get them so people wanna play games with mates more.

They're the two shooters people will constantly compare, that's the only reason I really said it. I used to be a little CoD fangirl but I've grown to realise how poor it is.
