It's not the accents I'm remotely concerned with. I guess in that situation I hoped he would said "course I'm staying etc". Together with Martinez bumbling about Baines' injury and whether he'll play/go to the US I'm a little anxious.

Of course it's me getting 2 and 2 to make 10 but for me Baines is our only world class player and with him in the team anything is possible.

to be honest the 'not going to Man U' thing was dealt with in class way by Leighton and the lad in the front despite being off his head. Baines just seemed to make clear he isn't allowed to comment on club situations and the lad in the front shut his mates up straight away so it wasn't made worse. Nothing wrong from there with telling him how much he would be missed. There is enough in the papers telling players to go so nice if they hear the opposite

Oh it is mate definitely. I just lie awake at night not wanting my Bainesy to go. I'd say he's probably one of only two or three truly top top players we've had at the club since the 80s. The others being Kanchelskis and Rooney.

Pleased as punch for them, if a little confused as to what was said.

This is a moment they will cherish forever, it is their moment, for them to share with us. As a consequence we have no right to **** them and maybe the ones giving them a hard time might like to ask themselves if envy is a useful emotion to share on a forum.

I'd like to say thanks for allowing me a closer insight into the reality of my beloved Everton and a player I admire more than most.

Only request,next time you guys do a vid can we have some sub-titles?

What worries me why was Baines making his own way to the game why was he not on the team bus? ? He is only ever rarely injured Blackburn not far from Manchester ? Had he been for unofficial talks? Just a paranoid thought!

or Martinez said seeing how you aren't playing drive round the block in your car few times, pick up some fans with cameras, let them film you with the club badge and they will soon get used to it

This really. I know every single moment of existence *just has to be* recorded for posterity these days, and celebrity is something to be bowed down to, but someone gives a lift to others and gets recorded is not on.

Other than that, no problem with the way those lads acted, at all. It was up to Leighton to handle that if he gave a ride to them, and they weren't obnoxious, so there's nothing to it.
