Come on, give the lads a break, were all bloody blues so stop moaning.

Also, the "I don't know" answer to leaving, what else do you expect him to say? He's not going to say yeah i'm staying lads, then an offer comes in and Everton accept it. Nothing is certain until the end of the window, so he genuinely doesn't know what will happen. Lets just hope he stays.

I was also wondering why they're being called 'bellends' like. Did they do something to betray his trust?
Maybe he should only give lifts to those without accents, and hence more deserving.

I reckon he's waiting for the club to decide on his situation, although imo the 'execs' should get off their arses and generate 18mil from some of the flotsam and jetsam that we have. Baines, although older than the last time he turned the Manc's down, really is a priceless role-model for the club.
 
I couldn't take Baines leaving.

I was upset at Arteta and Cahill leaving, but this would be of a whole new level.

Couldn't watch the video, soon as I heard it start with the terrible camerawork, awful nattering and Baines looking awkward as ****, I was out.
 

The only issue I have is they recorded the lift, why not just enjoy the lift and it would have been a great story to tell to the grandkids, the lad was nice enough to offer a lift and they recorded his conversations.
 
Honestly. Some of the comments about these other blues are mad. They are someone's son and maybe brother? They have been lucky enough to get a lift off Bainsey, why is that so hard to accept and say " well in", it's just f*cking brilliant and down to earth - that being the point, those are proper lads and just MADE up to be in Bainseys company.

Course it's all a but mad and over the place it's EVERTON
 
At the end when they start going 'Everton, Everton, Everton' and he goes to Bainsey 'sing it lad'. Brilliant.
 
Embarrassing thread.

Baines is a Kirkby lad through and through. He grew up with exactly these types of people (I even know their names FFS). When you see a video like this you see an obviously cautious Leighton not wanting to talk out of line due to his professional career, but he's not uncomfortable with the others in the car.

All I'm seeing is a sound lad giving a bunch of fans a lift, and a bunch of fans idolising an Everton football player. If this was in Standard English or R.P. then nobody would bat an eyelid, so it's not the content that people are kicking off on, it's the accent.

I'm as intelligent as anyone in this country but if you got me on a recording I'd sound very similar to that. If you're a self-hating scouser, do one as far as I'm concerned. And if you're from anywhere else, you have absolutely no reason to comment.
