Player Valuation: Free Transfer
I'm an Evertonian and it's probably no surprise that I think Liverpool are incredibly lucky. Is there one of us who doesn't?
I want to compile an objective list of concrete, incontrovertible examples of said luck.
I want to know if anyone has ever compiled a dossier of their good fortune. From B Hamilton's goal in '77, through Henchoz´s handball against Arsenal, to this week's disallowed Madrid goal, there are countless examples of how Liverpool have won games and trophies with the help of dodgy refereeing decisions.
Does anyone have a list?
Sarah

That would be one hefty list!

Dont go forgetting the Roma incident. Ref points to the spot... Liverpool players surround him, suddenly... its a corner.

Don Hutchison's disallowed goal in the derby.

Apparantly,Poll had already blown the whistle before it crossed the line !

Referees. Thats the answer. (n)

Alan Hansen's handball on the line in the '84 Milk Cup final is another example, but you'd be here all year.

They have a pact with the devil. I thought everyone knew this?

So far this season 3 players have been sent off for tackels on Xabi Alonso.

Both Cahill and Valencias for Wigan were unfair but i'm not sure about the 3rd. Think it was against Man City. Anyone see it?

Penalty that wasn't against Standard Liege?

Van der Sars [Poor language removed] up gifting them an equaliser agaisnt Man U?

Carraghers deflection gifting them an equaliser agaisnt Middlesborough?

Kuyt and Bebel both scoring winners from mishit volleys?

The wrongful sending off of Inter Milan players in Champions League last year?

You've started something now Sarah. This could turn out to be the biggest thread ever. Best ring the Guinness Book

i will not conform to this thread, no matter how lucky they are, if a RS sees this they have tonnes of ammunition to continue calling us bitter.

i do agree, but nothing can change it, whats in the past stays there (hence my views on the rooney return thread).

I did think that. I'm half expecting the OP or some other hypocritical RS to come on here when this thread is filled up calling us bitter and obsessed and all that bollocks. Despite the fact they registered on an EFC forum just to do so.

Just like i tell the rs i work with when they've beaten 10 men again, i'm not bitter just telling the truth. When i ask them to prove me wrong they quickly shut up.

I dont know if the subsidiary company (LFC) is liable for the debts of its parent company (Kop Holdings), but if the latter defaulted and it impacted on the former to ruin them for years I'd call that quits.

<prays this happens :yahoo:>

I dont think its being bitter. I just think its all fact. This has gone on for years. Even Manure fans say the same about them. Theres never been a luckier club than that lot over there.
