That's not true though. In the league, Felli scored the same amount last season and Cahill had equalled it one season, Duncan Ferguson score the same amount in the late 90's, Andy Johnson also equalled that tally. There has probably been more too.

Nope.

Kone got 13 goals in all comps last season, Fellaini got 12.

Cahill got 12 in 04/05, Andy Johnson got 12 in 06/07, the most Kevin Campbell ever got for us in a solitary season was 12 and for Dunc it was 11.

So it is true, we're looking at pre-FA Cup for anyone to top it other than the two mentioned in the OP.

What a waste of 5m, the sign of things to come I'm afraid poor players for too much money.

Welcome to Wigan mark 2.

Yes that's right. Because we are signing a decent striker, and an alright defender (I think) it means all our other players will turn into Gary Caldwell

Good god man.

Not really that type of striker though. He'll get goals but he'll also, hopefully, bring those around him goals too. If he gets what he did last season and provides others with assists we can say we got a decent deal here.

Thats it Dave, if he can do that everyone will be happy, but to not be overexcited about this transfer doesn't equate to being on Martinez' back from the off.

Transfer wise, I hope he signs a decent player who he hasn't worked with previously, by that I don't mean Aiden McGeady either.

I was referring to league goals. Plenty have equalled the tally of 11, it isn't an amazing strike rate. I'm going to remain skeptical about this transfer until I see him next season, I just don't agree with it myself.

MAURO BOSELLI

His style of play has been described by Roberto Martínez as "a clever player and natural finisher ... who can create havoc in the penalty area."

On 29 June 2010, Boselli signed a four-year deal with Wigan Athletic for a fee believed to be around £6.5 million. In March 2012, Wigan fans voted Boselli as the club's worst ever foreigner

Director of Football anyone?

Like Alcaraz, we should only be signing players like Kone on a free.
5mil!!??

Kenwright must be nervous.

Where is the comparison between Boselli and a striker who scored 11 goals for a relegated team in his debut Prem season?
