We are on the same side mate, where we differ is how we can remove him from our club. I happen to think if we could get 5 to 10,000 people on Goodison Road after every match in a peaceful but loud protest he would have to start taking notice,What would you suggest ?
We are definitely on the same side. I personally think the concept of protesting in person is dated and divides the fan base too much. The day of the march against Kenwright showed me that. But that's just from my experience and opinion.
When the Blue Union marched, it gained a small amount of media attention and probably took quite a bit to organise and plan.
Yet the badge change issue recieved quite a bit of media attention and was probably planned and carried out almost effortlessly. People carried on about their daily business but took the time to voice their displeasure with the way it was handled.
My first suggestion would to for all blues to stop blaming each other and making blues choose 'sides'. It's an emotional subject but in football now as a 'business' we need to be more logical. Making statements such as "fans need to wake up" etc etc should be swerved. No one and I mean no one is going to respond well to that and it get's us nowhere.
Also, use this forum. My understanding from the site owner is that we are not a vehicle as such to support fans groups but more a platform for them to meet and become a community. We should have hundreds of thread talking about concepts, ideas, suggestions, plans, how to move forward, the little and big things. At this point people usually say that is the clubs job. But i think this is our job if its our club.
Another suggestion would be for the Shareholders to join forces as such making a group or trust as someone mentioned a larger force than individuals. If they all feel the same then why not. I do appreciate this may or may not be legally possible and my knowledge of this field is very limited. If a rights issue takes place, could the existing shareholders sell their new shares to more blues and increase the stake in the club away from the Board?
I'm pretty sure Everton's accounts are open for us to view. Obviously not everything is broken down as much as we'd like, but why don't we play Chairman for a year. Start a "Run the Club" thread, work out the costs and see if what half they say is true. Make it available for the world to commment and suggest at on this site. So many posters on here refer to Football Manager game stats and player info as they know how highly researched it is, and are prepared to argue over the ins and outs of how good a player could be. Why not do this from the Owner / Chairman point of view. We'd still only see half the picture but for random fans who join this site, it would be a gold mine or information and a good start to fans who think Kenwright is doing a good job.
These are just ideas to be honest mate. But none of it involves miffing off other blues on a fantasy high horse on the breeze of romatic nostalgia of days gone by when we were Champions of the World. I'm not saying thats what you have done or said, but I see the former mentioned attitude a lot from posters, and it's no good.
I keep making a joke of painting the stadium Blue. My point is, what is better, Royal blue eyesore, or factory stained grey eyesore. We don't have the money to buy the club, we can't sell the club for them, and we can't make them, so what can we do??? Just come up with ideas ourselves. We have time, and the internet, and that should scare the board a bit.
