We've all got our ideas on what we're expecting, some are clearly expecting more than others.

But at the end of the day it's all guesswork and we'll only be able to judge him on actual results as Everton manager, not on results he's achieved elsewhere.

I'm definitely more concerned and apprehensive by his appointment rather than optimistic, but time will tell if I was right or wrong to be concerned.

Some managers fit better at some clubs more than others. There have been managers over the years who have done a shocking job at one club, got the sack and have then gone on to do a brilliant job elsewhere and vice versa.

Martinez done very well at Swansea, not so well at Wigan. How will he do at Goodison?

Who knows but we're about to find out. Interesting times ahead that's for sure.

isn't one of modern interview methods that you talk about your weaknesses too and how you address them. to be honest reading between the lines I think that has happened as he has definitely addressed in his initial interviews concerns that lots people had. whether any of that matters is as someone has said none of us are close to knowing because its more about being the right fit than a messiah who never puts a foot wrong at any club. My gut says that I would be worrying more if I was a Man U or Chelsea fan at the moment because one is going to be hampered by people waiting to jump on his every move, and the other won't be able to do a thing wrong..and the anti-climax will be awful. City's title I reckon.

In what way were my comments tosh (notice you pinched the word from NSNO) and incorrect. Were there any real contenders who were interviewed and had the same status as Martinez not wannabees from within the club. So what other managers were definitely interviewed by BB. Please put me right so that I can see if I was incorrect.
