Wow.

The irony is that the words used for the April Fools joke are almost identical to what they said on the launch of the new crest.

Unbelievable.

First post to say thumbs down for the new badge from this household. St Rupert's tower itself looks ok, but the crest looks like it has been made wider? and why the 1878 and the need to put Everton on it? Bring back the laurel wreaths and the latin motto NOW! Why do we need to mess with these things anyway. Just leave it.

I'm seeing more and more comments that the badge is "growing" on people or "it's not as bad as I thought".
This is exactly what I thought would happen, sadly, that the revolt would die down eventually. We accept far too much from our club

this kind of reaction reminds me when facebook changes and people cry and moan they are leaving. they are still there and when another change comes they will moan and cry.

Such a stupid comparison to make.

Yes, people often moan about change simply because it's different, but that clearly isn't the case here. A lot of people said the old badge needed revamping and a lot of people were all for a change as long as they retained certain aspects which they saw as key to Everton branding.

This is not moaning for the sake of it, it's moaning because it's a s**t badge. The fact that neutral people who have no connection to Everton are slating it proves that point.

imo the badge looks good it's the only way for the Everton brand to take a step forward. Arsenal did it and look where it took them.
