THIS.... DEFINITELY THIS. YEAH YEAH. SO THIS

absolutely no point you read anything before...up till then it was people putting opinions forward without just dismissing each other's opinions because they aren't part of a c****e.

Hahaha calm down matey.

Look see i read something else in 600+ pages, and it was yours.

Are you in the Clique too?

On topic = No idea. Don't care anymore they probably should have sorted this out already.

Pathetic.

Are you not fed up of people coming in here with dead cert info?

So far Stubbs, Neville and Martinez have been our managers. And that just this week.

Opinions is one thing, but acting like you know something is pathetic.

This isn't aimed at you but people are just getting annoyed by it.

Really surprised 177 blues want Martinez in. His Wigan have always finished near the relegation places, then finally was relegated this season. Ok, he knocked us out and won the cup, but I'm not convinced he'll match Moyes' league form.

His Wigan also conceded over 70 league goals this season...

Just quickly, if we were convinced of anyone 'matching moyes league form' then they'd be hired and tucked into their new finch farm office already. They conceded 70 goals because of terrible luck with injuries to their defence and that Wigan are full of shoite players, same as any club that size that finds itself in the prem. There's so many reasons why Martinez is a strong candidate and I really haven't seen any well thought out reasons against him.

he's going a bit baldy

Some of the people holding out from backing him for the job are also no doubt the same people who think the criteria to be manager is putting cones out at FF, knowing where the canteen is and how to look at a piece of paper with pass completion rates on it.

Go figure.

The other two favourites also have question marks, which others have already talked about in this thread:

Pereira's contract isn't being renewed by Porto and the thinking behind it is because he's aloof and delegates rather than hands-on coaches. Sounds like Benitez (a candidate tainted by red association).

Laudrup's biggest question mark isn't the 10m pay-off (we should pay it, no question), but his length-of-service with other clubs. He's been through 5 in 7 years. If he has one good season with us, he might be off at the first hint of a slightly 'better' job.

What about other names from the portugese/italian/spanish/french leagues? Bielsa? Blanc?

Poyet is now favourite in the betting, but he has no top-division experience (like Mackay, Freedman), and apparently was suspended by Brighton because of some dodgy shenanigans.

Neil Lennon courts trouble (tho' to be fair he's had some true nutters on his case), but the main point against his candidacy is his lack of experience in a top league (see also Stuart McCall). Anyway, anyone can win the Scottish title with one of the Glasgow clubs (just ask Walter Smith).

Internal candidates like Neville, Stubbs, Weir, Round, Ferguson et al don't inspire much excitement (apart from Dunc to be fair). But Kenwright might decide this is the safest option in lieu of outstanding candidates elsewhere.

Then we've got the bland proven-mediocre merry-go-round managers like Bruce, McCarthy, Holloway, Hughes, McLeish, Megson etc. Less said about such candidates the better.

Who's left? Mancini, Ancelotti & Di Matteo won Big Cups with their Big Money clubs...but are they Everton-material? Mancini's a prick, but he's a proven winner. Di Matteo's done well in his short stints as manager...why on Earth hasn't he already got a job? Ancelotti & Mourinho may be available, but there's more chance of us signing Rooney in the summer than the special fella and the arch-eyebrow joining us.

Bundesliga? The current Best League In The World might offer us some candidates in the form of Tuchel, Hyypia/Lewandowsi, Slomka, and others. Tho' Magath & Schaaf may not fit culturally.

From all that lot, I would vote for the double-act of Hyypia/Lewandowsi (finished 3rd this season behind the big two). Yes, it means an ex-kopite kaptain managing us, but perhaps rather him than the plump waiter?

Would he get relegated with this current side? plus he has a good eye for a player and imagine him being told, when you find a good player, you can actually keep him.
