he and the players failed the wigan game which was the most important. He definitely hasn't failed in the games vs the other top 7, but question marks can certainly be asked over our results in games like norwich and reading. not all his fault though, we had plenty of chances to kill them off - set up too defensively yes, but we should have still won them.

those teams you listed, only United beat us, and we beat them in return. All of the others we were either equal or better than. As has been said, we drop too many points against side that we should be doing better against. Some of that maybe wouldnt have happened had mirallas not been injured, baines looks crocked and pienaar us suffering because of that too. Throw in Jelavic who seems to have heskey's boots on and I think we've done alright. Most seasons this finish would have us comfortably in europe.

He's taken stick for sending teams out with a negative mindset in those kind of fixtures in the past. This season he didn't, we competed with them on an even footing. We're a top drawer striker away from being better than most of the leading sides in the division.

I'm talking about the massive number of draws we had. Apart from the derby I'm not bothered where we get our points from as long as they're the maximum we're capable of. I don't think thats the case this year.
