I thought moyes himself only mentioned money or ambition after Wigan , I'd totally understand his frustration after the Fer deal. I do understand why (if it was the case ) moyes could be frustrated about the finance if it was me it'd probably drive me mad but as has been said he's not just arrived he's an integral part of the club and it seems obvious he knows the score .

Im not sure when Moyes changed his tune, but I know when we as posters started to fume, it was defo pre-Wigan, Wigan just turned the fume up 20 fold.

Well, hasn't he always said he only wants to stay if he can progress Everton?

To do that he'll need more money...or else he'd have progressed us even further if he could have done that without the cash.

Would the board deny him spending power and risk losing him? That's the real question to be answered. Personally, and given his stated feelings on the relationship between cash and progress, I think it's time Moyes found out the answer to that question. Dont you?

I cant be bothered looking for the quote, but he said after Saturdays game that we have beaten the points tally of last Season, which he felt showed progress in itself.

I noticed that too and my heart sank. It sounded like it was rowing back from a previous, more hardline, position.

It'll be a travesty if he sign up again using the 'achievement' of a squad that, by his own admission, will have to be sorted out - starting this summer.

He will get money this Summer or at least he will be promised money this Summer.

The thing that sticks in my head is always the Lescott thing, not sure if you recall him and SunTan having a little tiff about whether all the money was spent or not, from that deal onwards, he wasnt given 100% of the money from sales.

Im fairly sure thats floating around in that copperdome of his.

As I say, theres gonna be money there in the Summer, whether its enough, time will tell and hopefully we can actually spent it, instead of insulting other Clubs by treating them like a provy loan and asking them to take 20p a week for 152 weeks.

I'm convinced Bill will promise him all kinds of things and he'll stay. Then when money actually has to be paid, reality will kick in and Bill will realise at the last minute that, just like every year for the last decade, he still hasn't got any money.

Who's that?

That is the key to him signing a new contract or not IMO.

I think its a little bit of

1) Waiting to see if any offers come in
2) Holding out for more money to spend
3) Seeing where we finish
In my eyes, he's threatening the board to deliver with him chasing transfer targets and wants Bill to finally pull his finger out. With him hinting at staying in the last few weeks there may even be a takeover in place at the end of the season.

I honestly can't see him waiting for offers to come as there would be offers on the table already with him signing a pre contract agreement with another club.
