So does this mean Pip will move to midfield?

We bought more midfielders than strikers (2 M, 1 S)

So if anything it comfirms to me that Jacobsen was a complete desperate non signing and Neville will play RB

I was going on assumption of 1 central midfielder - Fellaini (discounting Pienaar as he was already kind of with us and more of a winger) and the fact you stated Vagner Love as the second striker.

Fellaini would give us only one extra option in the middle of the park, meaning Pip would be pencilled in as an option for playing there, in the eyes of the poster on here that I've forgotten the name of now!

I don't know, I'm as confused as you!!

He'll definatly fill in there occasionly, he always will to be honest. His future is at right back though, that will be his main position this season with Castillo, Fellaini, Osman, Rodwell and Cahill competing for central midfield berths.

If Moyes does use him as a midfielder we won't do very well, people seem to forget that he played centre midfield the season we finished 11th, he didn't hae Carsley alongside him then and he was still very average.

With Castillo and Fellaini, I don't see Neville in midfield anymore.

With Moyes here i see Neville in midfield every week :D

But yeah, he shouldn't be anywhere near midfield now unless we have injury problems.

Guess he's stuck at right back no matter how good Jacobsen may be.

He will play their on occasion Moyes flirted with the idea of playing two defensive midfielder alot last year and hes not as bad as people make out either at full back or midfield.

However its important to underline the fact that when he played the whole season in DM when Cars was out we finihised 9th or 10th.

11th.

I must be in the minority here as an outsider, I quit rate Phil Neville as a midfielder. He works his tatters off and shows real commitment. He does lack that extra something but he strikes me as a decent player to have around when the going gets tough.

Idealy, I'm not sure you want him starting too many games in the position. But as a stop gap while you get others fit and up to speed I can think of worse options.

Just my tuppance, you know him better than I do b)

You can have him if you want, a grab bag of cheese & onion Walkers should do the trick

:D

Midfield is the last position where we need another squad player. Will take Anichebe off your hands though if you like, swap you Marlon Harewood and a subscription to Viz?
