Liverpool Echo Throws Dummy Out Of Pram

but it was quite obvious from very early on that it was Tyrell, I only wish it had still been Wossy

Course how could it be anyone else?

In ordinary circumstance they'd just attribute the answers to the director of comms. We'd never do that because there's no deniability later on.

In response to an earlier post, Stan Collymore was informed of the Echo article and went off on them big time. He asked the Echo if they were accusing him of lying, and said he had evidence to back up his claims of responses from EFC official (PAUL TYRELL).

He didn't name names from when I was following it.

Why didn't Tyrell just lie and say it was £75 million or something a hell of lot less?

No one would believe it but thats no different to now.

Thinking about the human sewage that inhabit the corridors of power at Goodison, is there any chance releasing the £125M price is a maverick act by someone there to embarrass others into lowering their price ? Could explain using a "source" rather than on the record employee, and subsequent backtracking (after an arse kicking).

What is the Echo ("LFC don't want Special Treatment, just fairness") getting on their high horse about exactly?

Collymore had an open forum where Everton fans were invited to air their views. What the [Poor language removed] has that got to do with the Echo?

I'd be amazed personally but you do wonder generally if the left hand and the right hand have absolutely no idea what the other is doing. Although I'm sure that'd NEVER happen at goodison i mean you just couldn't imagine say the chairman appointing agents to act in a transfer and not telling the chief exec could you ?

Sorry, I didn't mean he specificially named names, he never has. But all the clues he's given (an EFC official who has worked at both City and Liverpool) indicate one man, Paul Tyrell. Literally the only person it could be.

Oh I know. It's just something like that which ends up going viral later. Not saying it would ever do that (and we all know it was Tyrell) but with X person saying it was x person could go like Chinese whispers.
