Taking everything into account, he's been our best for a couple of seasons now. His consistency is beyond outstanding.

To be honest i worry about an injury to him more then anyone else (touches wood), he doesnt get the credit he deserves, his prob been our main source of creating chances this season, i would think the majority of our goals have come from him. Must be a matter of time before the opposition get wise to this, though a mark of a good player is being able to do it consistently despite special attention!

I've got to agree. He's been our main source for goals for the past two seasons, he's a maestro with set pieces (although I wish he'd man up and tell Arteta to move over more often), but ultimately, he's our only LB. We'd be worse off defensively if he got injured, but even worse, we'd be seriously gimped up front.

I think I read that he's given 8 assists to Tim Cahill between this season and last. best combination in the prem over that period. So yes, we'd be ever so slightly troubled if he got injured.

And yes, so would I

I often think that, we'd be royally buggered if he got injured/Phil at RB, Hibbert at LB.

How the hell is he supposed to be in the same class as Ashley Cole?!? He hits a great free kick granted, but positionally he is all over the shop.
Until Ive been to games and seen him I assumed he was a top player.
We should have exposed him with diagonals more.

Baines does get caught out on defence a wee bit, let's not hide that fact. But I won't accept criticism from a bunch of 2nd division weed dealers, so sniff it Oldham.

I love how wee wool clubs get overawed with singing dead loud and supposed "passion".

Get back to your arl terraced house with outdoor bogs you scruffy little beauts and be thankful you got to play us twice.

Now get up the stairs and save your sister from your father.

This, on toast.

He does, but find me a defender who doesn't.

Cafu, Beckenbaur, Maldini, Nesta, Moore etc. all got caught out sometimes.
