All good things must come to an end

Sacking Moyes would bring negative attention to the club, so I don't think the board would, it would have them look 'ungrateful' and as mentioned already could put off potential new managers.

I want whoever is going to be our manager next season signed before the end of May.

No matter what you think of Moyes sacking him would be a kopite thing to do - remember where we were before he joined?

sack moyes haha absolute rubbish crackers bananas kenright should be doing everything in his power to make him commit for next few years hopefully come start of season we have have our ginger genius in charge!

If this was a thread on RAWK we'd all be laughing about it.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinion etc, but Moyes will never be sacked, nor does he deserve to be.

Some people are being a little bit ridiculous with this sacking stuff.

I haven't once asked for Moyes to be sacked, have I?
Seen a lot about sacking here and I'm not saying that.

I overall want him to stay, but no one is bigger than the club and if he goes he goes. We move on, we're Everton Football Club. Not David Moyes Football Club.

true no one is bigger than the club but thanks to moyes we has made our club a significant better football team than when he took over

I'm not sure anyone needed a little overview of the situation or a reminder of some of Moyes signings as in the OP. Anyway, obviously the club will still exist without Moyes, nobody is expecting it to crumble.

I do however think we will be in the bottom 6 this time next year, with Martinez as manager.

oh **** yes

People are closer to the club than me, but some are just making it up like I do.

Question.

Could Moyes be really kicking the living daylights out of the Board to back him? One of the issues people have had with him previously is that he hasn't been strong enough with the Board.

I think we will struggle like hell if Moyes goes. Just my uneducated view ?

I'm with you....I'm sure he's trying to put massive pressure on them with his stance.....players wouldn't have signed new contracts without having had 'the inside track' from Moyes. One thing Moyes has in abundance is dignity and class, and I just couldn't see him blasting them in public for the good of the Clubs name...behind doors I'm sure it's a totally different story.

This kind of thread is pointless.

As has been said mant times before, Everton is as good as it gets for Moyes.

He is a very average coach whom has somehow wrangled his way into a job paying almost £4,000,000 per annum without a scintilla of pressure for results being put on him by his employers.

If we win a few games he is praised in the media as a miracle worker for "over achieving" with no money.

If we lose a few matches we are told it isn't "his fault" as he has no money.

Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool have had umpteen changes of manager during Moyes's time at Goodison.

Man City have had two or three since they came into the dough.

No one ever comes looking for Moyes.

Hie reputation is very much media driven but in the major boardrooms up and down the country it seems the honchos don't share their opinion of him.

Get yer heads round it, lads.

Moyes will do his usual fannying around for the next few months and will then sign on for five more glorious years.

In the meantime we will quietly drift away from the CL fight and will not make the semi final of the Cup as the whole focus of affairs at Everton becomes fixed on Moyes and the "will he, won't he" hokey cokey he now performs when his contract is up for renewal.

Moyes has the best job in the world and he won't be walking away from it.

And sadly, none of the more monied teams are going to come along and head hunt him and allow Everton to start breathing again with someone new.
