IT'LL COME GOOD

Seen it all before same as yourself, except worse. Oh yes, much much worse. But we live in the internet age now where people are screaming for manager's and players' heads if have the temerity to lose possession or let the opposition get over the half way line. What can you do ? *shrug

I think it's more to do with Moyes inability to learn from his mistakes, regarding tactics and rubbish subsititutions. Or his inability to get the best out of forward players, or ensure we hold onto a goal lead. Other then buying decent players for cheap and being a sarcy asshole after the game he's not very good at much else.

I've experienced these times before and there is nothing worse than them, fans expectations rise every season and the squad are due to have a bad period and some fans don't expect it and some fans do expect it.

The fans who don't jump ahead of themselves like me for example and start saying things without thinking, for example wanting Moyes out when we lose to a bottom half of the table team.

Us fans have big expectations and going through bad times is rough, this is the worst thing about being an Evertonian.

I have said on other forums that I expected us to finish around 6th or 7th again this season. I think that is where we are as a club, like it or not.
And as we're in 6th and have a sniff of Wembley I don't think I can really complain.
Plenty will though!

Aye, i think it may be a case of a glass ceiling in our league without a big dollop of money.

A sniff at a "cup final" not wembley for me. 6th won't even get you European Football these days.

Over the years the long established Evertonians have experienced these times before. And at some point we will bounce back and turn the corner. We have not played well since we were beaten by Chelsea in December and for me we should have strengthened the squad in January but we didn't. Therefore we have to make do with what we have got and wait and see what materialises in the summer with or without Moyes.

I think it's easy to blame lack of signings, and I definitely agree it has not helped, but we have not played well for nearly 3 months suggests something else is amiss.

I blame the jelavic drought, and dip in form of Pienaar and Moyes arsing around over his contract.

These latest defeats are hurting us more now because we couldn't finish teams off all season . Look at all those last minute goals we have conceded ever since the Newcastle game at the start of the season. It's been happening since then.

Our next 2 games really are must win now, but I don't think it will help that we are expected to win them both as we often play better as the underdog. That being said, if we don't beat both Oldham and Reading at home, something is seriously wrong.

When Moyes got us playing footy around about Swansea last year and we leathered Sunderland in the cup it looked a turning point - the feel of Oxford and Kevin Brock - Christ knows what's happened. Personally Moyes changing the side for the Leeds game seemed the start of the slippery slope.

Just watching Swansea against a pish poor Bradford is driving me mad.
