I didn't think somebody could be stupid enough to argue Moyes hasn't operated on a tight budget.

I was wrong.

He really hasnt had such a tight one that you believe. Averaging £14.5m per year spend over 9 years is NOT a tight. Anyone who thinks it is - is a moron, not stupid. Net spend has f all to do with it. Yes the board havent invested their own money but they've thrown money at him what the club has made. In massive transfer fees

Hes also has an inflated wage bill!

Are you for real?

Compare that with what teams like Villa, Spurs and even Sunderland and the like have spent. That's ignoring the stratospheric spending by Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City.

Obviously £14M a year is a lot of money, but if your rivals are spending £40M, £80M or even £200M then it looks different.

What are you expecting him to have won?

Winning the Premier League? Is that realistic?

In the 10 years he has been in charge the FA cup has been won by a non top 4 side once, the year Portsmouth won. A run which only included one game against top flight opposition and lead to their bankruptcy.

I see you've convieniently not mentioned the League Cup which has been contested and won by teams of a lesser stature than ourselves. This year's league cup is between Bradford and Swansea ffs and Bradford aren't exactly heavy hitters in the transfer market.

People talk/act as though hes spent the same as say Wigan or other teams who really do have nothing budgets. If we're to go on the money table hes about where he should be then mid table to European finishes.

The point I' trying so hard to make is..... Hes spent a good amount of money. People would have you believe he hasnt. If he'd won something on his budget then we'd all agree he done an amazing job with the less money than his rivals but he hasnt won anything.

you had a massive trail of red neg rep before the GOT apocolypse didn't you? i think only kopites have ever used the "everton aren't skint" line of thinking

Can't believe some of what I'm reading here.

Moyes' NET spend is around £2.5m per year since he's been here.

I think he should only sign a 1 year rolling contract. That would send a clear message to the board to back him or he's off. It would keep everyone's options open as well.

Welsh Kopites lad? All my neg rep was from one fella mate and Everton are skint. But Moyes has spent all their profits over the recent years. We're skint lad

Seriously WTF is NET when your recieving £26m and £24m for 1 player, which has gone back into the side. I am not saying hes had more than his piers. But he hasnt out done them either in the league or cups financially or on the field. Hes won nothing. Once he broke the top 4. Massive achievement but he done it once in 11 years.

The big 4 ? So Liverpool are in the 'big 4' are they ?

Last I looked Man City and Spurs were in the top 4. He's won at both grounds. If you are going to use stats against him at least be objective and use the current top 4.

In the majority of Moyes era the big four have been United, chelsea, arsenal, liverpool only last two seasons spurs and City have come on.

The RS have been miles away from the top 4 for a few years now.

Talk of a 'big 4' which includes them is pure Sky-induced hype.
