I did mate, it warmed me up nicely before I embarked on a night of drinking.

Balvenie Doublewood is 26.80 in Tesco. Anyone else seen anything of note? I need a new bottle

I hardly ever drink whiskey but over Christmas my mate had this at his house and I liked it. I don't think it's single malt though.

That stuff is really quite nice. Possibly the nicest blended I've tasted. Decent stuff IMO.

Picked up a bottle of Glenlevit 12 today for £17.80, didn't really want another bottle of Glenlevit but at that price I'd be crackers to leave it. Costco incase you're wondering.

Well there are plenty of good pointers for you in here mate. Start of on a few miniatures from the different regions to get a taste for what you like and what you don't.

I think the only whiskey I've ever tried is Bells and Jack Daniels ( if they are true whiskeys?)

I have been searching for years, for an adequate analogy, and I'm not gonna better this one.

Lovely, lovely stuff. I find it quite similar to Oban.
