I'd hate to see Distin leave. The man's an absolute beast. Given his age I doubt he has a significant resale value left anyway. Let him end his career with us I'd say.

I'd love Lescott back here, one of the best defenders I've seen in a blue shirt, and his threat from set pieces is great.

Just don't see it happening though, come the end of the month we will still be stuck with Heitinga.

Distin probably has until the end of next season. Has the odd mistake in him but class player mostly. I'd rather we got rid of Heitinga so long as he could generate about six million or so. That'd allow us to get a decent replacement in. Duffy has also never disappointed me when he has played.

Be a bad move letting Dizzer go in Jan.

Heitinga though, I'd be made up to see him go. Hasn't put a shift in all season and would hang on to see his contract run down if we let him. We can't afford for that to happen. I reckon we'd get Â£4m off someone for him.

Distin has another 2-3 years in him as he looks after himself so well and is still unbelievably quick, when he starts looking slower and picking up injuries, thats the time to let him go. I'd rather keep him, sign Lescott on loan and sell Heitinga.
