Sporting accept Everton's improved Moutinho bid

Reports are coming in from Portugal that Sporting Lisbon have accepted Everton's increased bid of 17million euros for the Portugese international Joao Moutinho.

They wanted to hold out for at least 20 million, but with relations between the two parties becoming extremely strained, they have resigned themselves to his departure.

Be great if that was true. 17 million Euros is only just over £13 million. That'd be a steal, essentially exchanging AJ for Moutinho.

One can only hope gents that this is the start of the spending spree. I agree with you guys that I'll get a bit more excited once it comes up on the OS. He could however also be the catalyst we need to attract some other big names.

If all things go as planned then maybe Moutinho coming here will encourage DM to go out and get Fernandes as well, which would hopefully help both parties settle very quickly.
