It all depends on the price with Butland IMO. As said he's proved nothing yet other than he's a promising young GK.

I'm pretty sure moyes and his scouts will have been watching him but kinda get the feeling we will lose out on him to others willing to pay more.

In the main tho.. At the right price he's a perfect signing for a GK to come in and challange Howard!
You just never can quite tell when a GK is going to lose it due to age.

If Moyes rates Howard so highly then we shouldnt be getting competition in for silly money.

I would preferably get a new keeper dont get me wrong but im not sure I understand Moyes mindset there. He has bought a load of young goalies the past few years and would then get Butland (who has proven nothing by the way) who is only a year or two older than them.

Because Butland will be boss.

For me it's that simple.

Im totally against the butland thing simply because he is overpriced, still unproven and most likely not that much more fabulous than our other present goalies. We have signed fhuckloads of them, and frankly, getting Butland would be expensive and counterproductive and unfair towards the likes of taudul and springthorpe.

He's light years ahead of Simonsen, Gerrard and all the other young keepers we had.

I think lee clark has done ok TBH, this season's style of football and results from Birmingham has shown how good Chris Houghton is as a manager.
