Good business or a sign of how desperate finances are?

I dont think we can complain too much when the club is looking to make money from all viable areas. If anything, £3500 seems just a bit low to sponsor a premiership player for a season. You'd think different players would have different worth too.

Maybe if you promise to convert x amount of people to become blues on your journey back they'll pay you pay as you convert deal!

what exactly do you get for your money ?
do they wear a cap with your name on in tv interviews ?
do they have to do promotional events for your company ?
what if they get sold ?
do they give you match tickets as their sponsor ?

or is it as i suspect a bit of text next to the players name in the teams, so what if the player never plays ?
and in some cases are you liable for the player and his behaviour, do you get to cajole him and give him the benefit of your undoubted footballing knowledge and wisdom ?

This has always happend.

I remember when i used to go with me dad, an he'd get me a program. The players were always sponsed. Back then it was the shirt number you sponsed thou.

But it has always been done.

HOWCOME THAT SOMETIMES YOU CAN ATTACH AND OTHER TIMES YOU CANT ? i just did a vdm with logo's as an example of what you might get for your money, but i'm not getting the attach file thing above where you type.
£3500 does seem cheap for sponsorship of a pl player, i'll bet you dont get to use their name in ads or anything.

I'm sure other clubs do it and we've done it for years. I think its more of a thing to promote "your" business, like Nike sponsoring a player etc.
