Hibbert for me is still a useful player to have. Especially in games where he's occupied by wingers and he doesn't have to get forward. He had some really stand out games last season but he also had some average ones.

He's a good member of the squad but must only be used in certain games. Neville and this new lad would probably be better options.

Hibbert is a good player but lacks pace. His contribution is his canny way to thwart or break up attacks. I deffo rate him better than Neville but if this Swiss fella does come in then I see Neville as the holding midfielder. The outlay of 700,000 isn't much but he wants a pay packet of a least 30k a week is he really that good?

Exactly, we need someone who can make that position his own

Neville is a right back or nothing. He gives the ball away too much to play in midfield!

I don't think Moyes sees it that way. Moyes first and foremost builds from the back. He treats the back four like most managers treat there strikers thats his bread and butter. He kept placing Neville and Cars together last year that scared the heck out of me. He has to be up to something there. But I do agree right back is only place I would consider him at the moment.

Yet your happy with neville? Bizarre

How you even compare both of them is beyond me.

Neville is just as good at defending, much better attacking aswell. Everytime Hibbert gets the ball on a attack, he completely [Poor language removed] it up.

We want to get rid of dead wood like Hibbert, he's [Poor language removed] useless. I'm better at RB then him.

Neville isnt good at defending though, he is totally useless at it. Hibbo is a much better defender but awful going forward

I can't remember one mistake from the lad this season at RB, Neville that is.

He is awful in CM though, i agree.

Neither are as bad as your making out. Hibbert is better than Cal thinks whereas Neville is better than HalewoodBlue thinks. At the end of the day I think we'd all agree that we need to improve on both.

Hibbert is a better defender in terms of one on one defending. If he's faced with an out and out winger he is really good. He's occupied, the winger is always looking to hit the byline and Hibbert doesn't have to do any ball work.

Neville has better positioning. He reads things better and is rarely at fault for goals. He does have a tendency to back off though which is his weakness. Sometimes you have to put the tackle in. In terms of attacking game Nev is nothing special but he's far better than Hibbert. He supports his winger better, has better cross and looks for the ball more.

Neither are perfect but if I had to choose it would be Neville. He brings more to the game than Hibbo. Realistically I'd like to see both as squad players. They'd both be very good squad players.
