Technically this is a cover of a cover with the original still being the best, this is better than the Florence version though.

To make a good cover you have to take the song somewhere else and make it your own like Johnny Case did with Hurt and like Patti has done with this

There does seem to be a lot of people who instantly dismiss covers if its by a band/artist that they don't like covering a song by a band/artist they do like and saying that it somehow "ruins" the original, which is bollocks.

Not saying on here but in general.

A good song is a good song and it doesn't matter if its a cover or not, just depends what they coverer does with it.
