Yesterday was unusual in that...

Who got relegated with him playing that position mate.

I'm judging him off what I've seen so far and apart from a decent cross and sometime shot on him he's very much lacking elsewhere. He runs like gravity is raping him and can't beat a man at all.

Hope he comes good but it doesn't look promising so far.

He doesn't make a strikers runs more to the point. There was an oviedo cross towards the back post on sunday that any striker worth their salt would have ran onto but Gueye didn't see it in time to get there.

It's not just that he's slow physically it's that he's slow mentally too.

Agreed but flagging this ffs.

Yep.

He's got an eye for goal, always looking to make a run into the box or do a little one two and get round his marker. Hasn't got the pace for the wing imo. His finish against AEK Athens when he chipped it over the keeper after running full pelt from the half way line was class.

You can see as soon as Fellaini gets the ball in midfield that he's thinking 'i can get in behind here'.

I hate to keep banging on the same old drum but it's another good reason for moving Fellaini back, think Naismith and Jelly good work wonders.

Said the same earlier. Agree entirely with this.

I don't like talking up Liverpool players but Skrtel and Agger are a very good partnership and Jelavic just struggled to break them down.

As for Felliani it was clear he wasn't 100%.

In the second half, they threw on another central defender, Jelavic had no space to work in.

Our big players didn't give big performances and the best games were had by those from whom less was expected.
I thought that Jelavic had the worst game since he joined Everton, that Fellaini struggled to dominate the game and Jagielka was struggling against the pace of Sterling in the second half.
Whereas Osman,Coleman and Naismith all had very good games.

I know that Oviedo wasn't on the pitch long, but he still did more than Gueye did in the entire second half.Gueye is just not a premiership footballer.I think Oviedo will prove to be a very good signing and of course it looks as if Mirallas was stolen at a fee of only 5m.
I think the manager could have brought on Oviedo before Gueye or bring Hibbert in at full back and move Coleman forward.

Jelavic didnt get fed enough, made two bad passes too, not his day that. We played as a team, again this team showed that they can rise from tough situation.
And hey, Neville was alright!

I agree Osman,Naismith and Coleman did have a great game.IMO I think that Gueye wasn't that bad tbh.Gueye was playing in the French legue 2 when he played for stratosburg. perhaps he's not a premier league player,I really hope Moyes brings In Donavan in January

I expect Osman to be fired up for the derby as a born and bred Blue, but credit to him for putting in a top display. Cracking goal, and he scored it at a vital moment too.

I was pleased with Naismith and Coleman too. Coleman's shot from the edge of the box was tantalisingly close and whilst he is still raw defensively, his pace will get him out of most of the holes his inexperience gets him into. He also has the slight glimmer of that cold, mad-eyed ferocity about him that Roy Keane used to show. I think he is slowly turning into a top-quality RB. Naismith rose to the occasion, I remember thinking he was popping up all over the place prior to his goal and generally being useful and committed. LOVED his goal, and the genuine emotion he showed in his celebration.

Oviedo also looked like he's got bags of potential. Hopefully he will get more time in the near future.

He was a boyhood Kopite, mate

I thought Neville had a great game, made a stupid dive, held his hands up and admitted.

He made some decent passes with the odd dribble past a player.

Ossie was great.

Jelavic looked lost up there by himself.

The Neville dive was class, because hes come out and said it was stupid, moyes said he had a go at him at half time. which show's we have a bit of class in dealing with the situation, where the RS never have dealt with it after all this time.

Fellaini gave no support to Jelavic. He didn't win any flick ons, he didn't make any sucessful forward passes, he was rubbish and it was like playing with 10 men. That's why Jelavic was quiet.

I think we should be really looking at getting Cahill back on loan in January, our attack has had no bite in it whatsoever since he moved on imo.
