Different players, mate. Robson was a box to box attacking midfielder. Reid an orchestrator. All I'm saying is that seemingly every time Everton played United Reid would be outstanding and Robson anonymous.

In the 86 world cup England only started playing when Robson went home and Reid replaced him, i've just remembered Ray butch Wilkins, the original crab, only went sideways but was deemed good enough to go to AC Milan. Think that proves football really is subjective.

I agree it's subjective. My opinion is Robson was one of the most complete midfield players England ever produced, vastly underrated as an actual footballer, he had a magnificent football brain and was on another level to most of his teammates at both united and in the England set up, but that's just my opinion. Reid and Bracewell were both fantastic players also.

He was a good player, I just can't see why he received the adulation he did.
