Computer games.

Just looked this up.

Dishonored is a 2012 first-person...

And that's as far as I got before losing interest.

To be fair, it's not 'just another FPS'. If the name Viktor Antonov means anything to you then you'll get excited?

Why don't they throw money at him until he agrees to make a Blade Runner game?

6 hour story apparently :/

Hmmm, I've heard that but that's definitely people running and gunning through and missing stuff.

I'll be playing this like I played Deus Ex, taking the super stealthy routes and if possible going for a pacifist run. That takes a lot, lot longer as you have to find other ways to beat bosses, which can involve listening to conversations and gathering evidence to throw them out of power etc. They've really put a lot of effort into it, so much so that just killing a target plain and simple seems a waste.

On top of that there's a load of replay value as the game plays out very differently depending on how you play it.

Read on mate. It's really not conventional.

Oh yes.

It even got 9/10 in GC.

Got high hopes for XCOM too, but we'll see.

Both are getting excellent reviews. My gaming time is painfully limited at the moment but I'll definitely be picking XCOM up at Christmas. I have a massive hard on for turn based strategy.

Feel sorry for you if that's true.

Yeah I thought that was a bit surprising Tubes. I know a lot of first person games are pants but Portal and Deus Ex spring to mind as recent innovative, fresh first person games.

About 7 years too late, borrowing Oblivion off a mate. About 10 hours played so far done practically none of the storyline.

Its much better than I expected, and the fact there's Fallout 3 and Skyrim to contend with afterwards too...oh my.

Starting Fallout 3 and then realising just how much quality gaming you have ahead of you is like enduring Groundhog day on Christmas.

Not a giant fan of Oblivion and Skyrim got boring, but Fallout 3/NV are some of my favourite gaming experiences ever.

24 hours into Oblivion and I've barely touched the main storyline. It's such a boss game, not even arsed how nerdy it is. Fallout will be bought as its about a fiver. Serious value for money.

Got to play it yesterday at PlayExpo. Really, really impressive. Definitely added to the list.

Had a quick bash on Zombie U too, which was a bit.... meh.
