Some people on Bluekipper have apparently seen him at Goodison, id be happy to sign him :)

Oh, and also...bump! :)

He could certainly fill the void left by Carsley. Needs to lose a few pounds, but Moyes would soon sort that......Agreed there are better out there, but if the price was right, I'd certainly have him.

Him and Fernandes would be a superb partnership in the middle of midfield.

Do you think it would work?

I have my doubts to be honest. Both are fantastic footballers but defensively they don't offer much. Neither are hardworking, Huddlestone is very static and neither possess good defensive qualities.

Maybe against lesser teams at home we could try it but playing them two consistently together I'm not so sure.

Buy saying all this Carrick and Scholes who in my opinion are similar to Fernandes and Huddlestone look good next to each other. Maybe with a bit of experience they'd work nicely,

I do like Huddlestone though. All he needs is a good pre-season and a run of games. Get him to his peak fitness and in the best shape possible and we'd see the best of him. He can play centre back aswell which is also useful.

I think Huddlestone sits deep most of the time. Thus allowing Manny to move forward. But yes we do need someone who puts themselves about.

He would give us extra height to.

I'm not sure actually if it would work or not, i guess we will have to see for ourselves if both deals come off, i doubt they will mind. I highly doubt we will sign Fernandes, just can't see it coming off.

Huddlestone needs to lose some weight and get himself into the best shape possible like you said, and i doubt there is anyone better then Moyes for this.

Didn't you say Fernandes was coming back?

Which thread in Kipper was this mentioned? I'd love to get someone like Huddlestone in early. Get us ticking for pre-season and bring back a bit of optimism.

To be honest I think Huddlestone would lose the weight and get fit. He lost weight under Ramos in a few months so a pre-season under Moyes would be excellent for him.

I was looking at his stats for last season and there impressive. 28 starts, 12 assists and 4 goals. He's very very creative and a midfielder who can get 5/6 goals a season will be useful. He's definatly a player we should be looking at.

In the transfer rumours bit.

That's what i heard yeh.

Agreed on Huddlestone also.

He's a Moyes type signing: Young, British, Sell on value, height in midfield, decent footballer and not a big time Charlie.

Might be the reason there was a board meeting on Fri night....welcome addition imo.

I think a lot of the problem with spurs players might just be Spurs. They get caught up in the dynamic of the club which is one that, while making a lot of noise and doing a lot of huffing and puffing, doesn't blow any houses down. A bit like the barcodes though to be fair to Spurs fans they don't seem to be anywhere near as deluded as their North-Eastern counterparts. A new challenge at a serious club like Everton may bring out the best in a player like Huddlestone.
