Well, hopefully we can get a glimpse today if Hodgson will give him some minutes against Italy. De Jong looks destined for Inter, so he may get more playing time than first imagined.

you got him for a bargain price, had it not been for his injuries he is worth 25m. paying just 12m and with it being from you guys aswell its a steal.
Im amazed moyes never dragged it out for a couple of weeks and tweaked up the price, even more amazing was adam johnson who we could of at least go in on loan for a season.

the speed of the whole transfer doesent make sense, its like it was transfer deadline day and we didnt have the chance to do anything.

when united wanted him moyes said no, there was apparantly a fee agreed for the switch to go ahead in the summer but then he got injured.
this was the worst possible time to sell him as its when his transfer fee is going to be at the lowest.

Yeah he's pretty sharp mentally, unfortunately he wasn't quite good enough to break into our first team.
Also since your used to De Jong I doubt you will remain a big fan for long. He's quite good and has potential but he's nowhere near the quality you lot buy these days. If he's played correctly and bought through well he may develop into a useful player but I honestly can't see him being more than a squad player for you even he improves a lot.

I don't get your point... but he's not really "in" the City side; they're playing him against lesser opposition to make it look like it was worth buying him. At the moment he's a liability and it's clear to everyone who watches City.
