Arshavin for Everton

Hello, Pat
Thank you very much for your welcome
Arshavin is much better than Kancheski was, even now AA is underestimated in Europe, like most of the russian players. I hope it will change in EURO. As about Tymochuk, I don't think Zenit lets him go in the near future (and he is 29 now, so I guess he will end his carrier in St. Petersburg). BTW his wage and transfer fee are not less than those of AA.

Welcome again. I don't mean to be a party pooper but Arshavin will never be as good as Kanchelskis. Some of the things he did playing for Utd and Everton will never be topped. The game against Sheffield Wednesday when he took about 1 million shots springs to mind. This video should explain it.

mate, you know Kanchelskis very well but you don't know Arshavin
To judje the player you have to see many matches with him
AA and Kanchelskis are different type of players, AA is a playmaker with a big attacking accent

Kanchelskis. What I would give to have him in his prime again. I remember the long drawn out transfer saga with him to. I was only a young teenager but I am sure that whole episode didn't do my heart any good!!

Hi portic, as others have mentioned, I doubt we will sign him - we need players for different positions, our attack is already very good. he would, however, be a brilliant signing for us if we were to get him.

I was supporting your team in the UEFA cup final, you really deserved it, you played much better than Rangers the whole game. Well Done!

I would love to see Arshavin here, but I think Tymochuk would be a better fit for our needs (great player). I would also love for us to go for Pogrebniak - our type of centre forward.

But I think the possibility of us getting anyone like that is remote.

Why do you think we have such a small chance of getting him? He has said himself he wants to come to the EPL, it doesnt look like any of the 4 above us want him. Arsenal who looked like they could accomadate him are going for Nasri instead. Surely his best option if he wants to play first team football is to come to goodison.

The only other two who could realistically be in for him are spurs and man city, but spurs already have a shed load of forwards and wingers so he could spend a lot of time on the bench there, and for as good a player as he is i cannot see him wanting to sit on the bench after being the super star in the russian league.

Then you've got man city, who in their right mind would want to go there right now, they look like they are gonna have a fire sale at the rate Sinatra is going, the manager is leaving and they look so unstable at the moment. His best option if he wants to play week in week out in the PL is us and he can be our star player like he is for zenit. Believe it or not we are a very attractive prospect for a lot of players and i think we have got as good a chance as any to get arshavin. :D:D:D

Well said fella,

As for not being as good as Kanchelskis, i think thats a short sighted view, to be honest, we all remember him with blue tinted glasses and he was amazing, but whos too say if AA came in he would be as good, infact he would have more chance due to the players around him,

Imagine Kanchelskis with Arteta, Cahill, Manny or Yak ?
