The receptionist said 'good luck for Saturday, Mr Hodgson', and he replied 'well it's Sunday actually', then laughed when I shook my head and said goodbye to me despite us not saying a word. Sound guy, Roy. He didn't smell of piss, either, contrary to popular rumours.

He's supposed to be one of the nicest people in football, probably why he failed at the ****e - snidey little so and so's.

Latest from Greece is - that no contact has been made between Everton and Olympiacos. There has been no formal bid.

Apparently Everton are working with the players agent to understand the fee that would be required but haven't be able to strike a deal.

The player is expected to train with Olympiakos today as per normal.

Having said all that, if a deal can be reached things will move quickly as personal terms are agreed.
