Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says he had "no choice" but to sell Robin van Persie to Manchester United and that he does not now need any more forwards.
Wenger revealed he will not be replacing Van Persie - having already brought in Lukas Podolski, Olivier Giroud and Santi Cazorla this summer.
"We already recruited to replace him," claimed Wenger on French TV station TF1. "We have already recruited since we bought Giroud and Podolski, who originally were intended to offset the departure of Van Persie."

#Mirallas deal back on now. He's just about to fly over via a hot air balloon so should be available for January depending on a medical.

Gents, Roger here, I think a few need to calm down and have a stiff drink. If this Belgium fella signs, so be it, otherwise live goes on....one or two need to discover the delights of a ladies company instead of a forum...

For queen and country chaps.....

Roger.
