I just want make sure we understand that there are really TWO valuations here:
1) What we believe a player is worth based on form, potential, etc... (i.e. Lescott at 7-8M) and,
2) What some dumbass team like Newcastle would actually pay for the player (i.e Lescott at 12M+)

Realistically what they are worth.
Im surprised you rate Lescott at 7-8m as we signed him for 5m and turned him into an England international and one of the most consistant defenders in the premiership.

Fair enough, a) he dont play very often and b ) he is vastly overrated. I personally would play JL at left back and buy a new centre half to play with Yobo next season

Personally, I value Lescott at 10M+ (that's 18M in Newcastle or Chelsea pounds)
