I think it is. Moyes has taken us to mid table from relegation battles within 18 years. From what I remember Hodgson was taking Palace backwards.

Doing as well or better than 75% fans predicted.

This is what midtable form looks like… you have to drop points to finish midtable.

On every basis this hasn’t been a bad season considering the previous 10, the amount we spend and the injuries to arguably our best two players (Grealish and brnthwaite).
