2025/26 David Moyes

Put two full backs and a top striker in this team and…we’d still have missed out on absolutely everything.

We had two of the best fullbacks in European football in his first tenure here, and had Yakubu up front, and we still didn’t get over any meaningful lines at any point.

Best of the rest, no trophies, barely a derby win, no wins at top grounds.

Could give Moyes PSG’s line up and he’d deliver the same result. Except he’d have Kvaraskelia tucking in so the left back could get a cross in.

TBF to him, there'll be a lot of criticism coming his way, most of it legitimate, but he has done well to shift the mentality of the previous managers to now disappointment at not getting Europe.
He's had better players to work with then the likes of Lampard, Benitez and Dyche and let's be frank those 3 managers are a low bar so it's easy to look 'successful' compared to them

The starting eleven is pretty much players Dyche had because Moyes blew the summer transfer window. It wasn't a terrible squad, it was a mid table squad and needed some improvement. Moyes completely failed to do that, why do you think he's going to do it this summer?
To be fair, a lot of his targets didn’t want Everton. Is it safe to say, the players we brought in been good enough? No. Grealish and KDH been the positives. Are them two gonna take us to the next level? No. Do I think a new manager would want those two players in there starting 11? Probably not.

Do I think his style or tactics are suited to how the premier league is right now? No. It’s outdated massively.

From listening to those that are ITK, the targets for the summer don’t sound positive, they haven’t mentioned players but have said he wants to add leaders and experience in the squad. That’s a worry.

I also understand that losing 12 players last summer, moving stadiums, a whole new squad, new owners and new board that this season was gonna be a challenge. Moyes hasn’t helped himself saying he can see this current squad been up for Europe, it raised expectations but also knew that it would be very hard to accomplish that, if we did it would of been great.

We have paid this fella millions of pounds over the years and what has happened in the grand scheme of things? Avoid relegation battles and anything else like some brief spells in Europe is a bonus and he is revered by some for it.

It says a lot that a desire to win trophies and compete at the top is twisted as some sense of entitlement. I thought football was supposed to be a coopetition to win , looks more like a grab what you can to boost that bank balance to me.

The thing that worries me about Glasner is he threatened to resign if they sold Guehi last summer with one year left on his contract and worth £50 odd million, forcing the club to keep him. He then announced he’s leaving just a couple of months into the season costing the club money. You have to accept there’s a food chain in football and can’t be throwing your toys out the pram. It’s been reflected a bit this season with their form. He’s played full strength every game even in the Conference where the opposition is really weak. That’s had an effect on their league form.
I used to be a big fan but I’ve been put off by him this season. For someone the fans loved , being the best manager in their history he’s ruined it with his selfish attitude.
Nah he refused to sell Guehi unless they had a replacement first. Can't blame him for that. He had a negative net spend of -£37 million and after winning the cup he wanted backing. Again can't blame him, the guy wants to win stuff.
