Expecting as to come out and try and outplay Man City though.. come on now.I dont hate Moyes. I didnt want him back as I believe football has moved on. But if you look at my posts im not a regular Moyes basher.
But people have valid points. He sets teams up not to lose. He's similar to Dyche in that way, its always safety first. He's in a different league to Dyche and i'm not denying he has done more than I expected since his return. But he's not the man to take us forward in my opinion.
Moyes has done an awesome job since he returned.
He’s a perennial loser though when it comes to the big boys.
I’m not sure who would replace him though other than Carlo… who has unfinished business at Everton

Strange that. When we were 3-1 up, apparently it was Moyesy who was responsible for it...Moysie was let down, once again, by the players. Terrible defending for the Haaland goal, and poor decision-making by Ndiaye in front of goal.
Im gonna swerve the negativity and just happy that from going in 1 down after being bent over in the first half. The players stepped up in the second and had a proper go.
On another day illy could have scored a couple too.
We spend so much time looking into everything that went wrong sometimes we forget to enjoy what went right.
The defending by Keane and tarks was absolutely abysmal by two experienced defenders for city's 2nd goalFor a manager who prides himself on a good defensive structure 3 stoppage goals in 3 games is so poor. It can always happen of course but 3 weeks in a row has just crippled our season.
It was a great goal, but he’d been their biggest threat by a country mile, so the decision to leave him totally unmarked at a corner, to control the ball and shoot with no one anywhere near him is criminal.Alcaraz being not match sharp, which involves the concentration levels, you can attribute to the manager who hasn't played him in a while. Im aware he was injured for some of the time tho. Im not sure of the timeline here.
But sometimes you just have to put your hands up and say great goal
All of Martinez’s good substitution deeds are forever marred by ‘Niasse on..Lennon off’.Been a few times lately when it seems Everton players are dead on their feet and not taken off timely. Obviously they’ve got access to real time data etc so could just be me being critical.
I don’t want to bury myself here as he wasn’t the messiah but noted Martinez’s subs were refreshing in direct comparison to Moyes before him. I’d like to more attacking risk taken by subs and tweaks when a game is won, not just when we need to chase it.
Got get Bournemouth or palace boss
I was sort of content enough with him second time around until that derby the other week; that has now told me everything I need to know about Moyes. Some people just decided they hate Moyes ever since he left the first time and will just beat that drum regardless of how we play or where we finish in the league. It's tedious and tiring.
