2025/26 David Moyes

The league form with Glasner is not what we want.

I want our manager to take the Premier League winning squad and make them finish 7th.
I'd certainly want a new manager to be getting notably higher points totals than the one we had already. This sudden idea that cups are more important than the league is insane. Glasner has a perfectly decent league record, but the positions and qualifications you're telling me about aren't in a different league to things Moyes's teams have done. He has won more trophies than Moyes, but every trophy has its own context. Playing Liverpool for Palace has a million different meanings to playing Liverpool for Everton, as you should know.

And beating Liverpool at Wembley? Come on. You're going to have to increase Moyes's trophy haul.

Who has said cups are more important than the league?

Kieran McGuire
Eden Terzic
Sebastian Hoeness
Iraola
Iriaola? Bound for bigger things
Sebastian Hoeneß 9th place in the Bundesliga
Terzic 2026 Athletic Bilbao
Kieren McGuire 🤣 Kieren McKenna meanwhile...Ipswich were relegated from the Premier League after winning just four games under McKenna, with Ipswich having picked up their lowest ever points total in the top flight. McKenna's 10.5% win rate is among the lowest recorded by any manager in Premier League history 😱

Vincent Kompany also never had a great record in the Premier League , wouldn't want him would we!!!

Why do people keep trying to make £100m sound like a lot of money in today’s market. We spent less than Burnley.

We spent pretty much the same, we spent 110, Burnley around 105.

The issue is getting called ungrateful for criticising Moyes, it's not ungrateful i don't think.

Oh no, that £5m difference…

Again, why do people act like it’s a lot of money.

Where does £100mil or £105mil come from?

King undisclosed
Travers £4mil
Aznou £7.6mil
Alcaraz £12.5mil
Grealish £12/£15mil
Rohl £20mil
KDH £25-28mil
Barry £27.5-£32.5mil
Dibling £35mil-£40mil

Certainly more like £140/150mil than £100mil.

You knew what was going to happen there, Moomin. Any manager you suggested was going to be unobtainable or vastly inferior to Moyes. It's what they do. Only Moyes would touch the diseased carcass that is Everton FC as far as the zealots are concerned. It's a weird flex as it simultaneously suggests that Moyes is the best manager in the galaxy but also is the only person that will take such an unattractive role and so is the least worst option. It's a tiresome paradox.

Certainly more like £140/150mil than £100mil.

Well for starters Rohl’s fee doesn’t go into last summers total.

Secondly, as I’ve previously said, if you’re adding Grealish’s wages in, add in the wages of all the other signings please. Otherwise stop.
