New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I've got a question about transferring tickets that I hope someone can help me with - if I transfer a 65+ season ticket for the City game to an adult member, will that ticket work? Or does something somewhere in the system know that the adult member isn't allowed to use that 65+ ticket and it won't let them in?

I know you can call the club and upgrade for a hefty fee, but I could buy a new, extra ticket for less
No problem to upgrade and the club just charge the difference in price band.
Hardly a 'hefty fee'
Chances are there wouldn't be a problem anyway. I think concession tickets trigger a different colour light at the turnstiles so that if for example somebody obviously in their 20s 'lit up' as an OAP the stewards (in theory) might question them.
99% of stewards couldn't be arsed TBH🤷‍♂️

It's £40.26 to upgrade - there are people on here selling tickets for as little as £25

That's hefty to me

Do they light up the same colour for junior and OAP like they did at Goodison?

I consider that a form of discrimination that lighting system for OAPs. I mean I'm not there yet for a few years, but for some adult ticket holders to walk through on a green light and others slightly older getting a blue light it's a bit snide and divisive.

It's like at school when they used to call out the kids names on free school dinners - a public humiliation.

Was going to say they could do it a bit more discreet in the kiosk but they're gone now.

Would also be a bit embarrassing asking to prove your over a certain age at the gate.

Don't bother, no date of birth on it and no one checks

Is there anything you don’t moan about?

I look forward to seeing you marching with your placard outside the turnstiles on Monday evening…or maybe not.

Exactly.

What on earth is the point of that distinction in any case? Are stewards on the gate going to look at someone they believe to be in their 60s or even 50s and demand they see their concession ticket if it lights up blue?
