Oh Moyes, what have you done! Or rather, what didn’t you do — make substitutions. Everyone could see that the legs in central midfield were gone after 75 minutes. As loyal a servant as Gana is, and even though he always gives everything, I’m one hundred percent sure that by the 80th minute at the latest, Iroegbunam would have handled his defensive duties better on fresh legs than an exhausted Gana.

VAR could also have checked the incident that led to Branthwaite’s injury.

Mentality issue, always has been
100%. It's the "knife to a gunfight" "expected losses" "you've had good times" "plucky little Everton" culture that still infests the club.
Teams that are less talented than ours can go a beat teams like Liverpool and united and Chelsea, but with us there is an inferiority complex that has been reinforced for years both internally and externally.
I don't know if we will ever be rid of it.

Loads of more useful players than Barry, Aznou, Dibling and Rohl tbh. Barely a contribution from any of them.
Totally agree. Was Aznou even on the bench or in the squad? Don’t think he’s been in the squad for a while. I know the transfer committee didn’t have a long period together but they’ve gotta have a look at themselves cos them players you’ve mentioned, look like all poor signings. Especially Rohl who’ve we’ve gotta buy for £20m. Waste of £20m for the summer budget.

It may have done and thought nothing of it.

Disappointment doesn’t describe it, although it’s not too unpredictable considering how previous derbies have panned out.

They were there for the taking, yet we barely tested their young keeper, who looked very uncomfortable with the ball at his feet.

The midfield looked shattered, and we refused to change it up. How they go no yellows as well isn’t shocking with Kavanagh.
