Saint Domingo
Player Valuation: £90m
Kind of hope they buy Gordon. He’ll cost a fortune, he’s not as good as forwards they’ve had previously and we’ll get the sell on money.
100 million plus fifty percent gobshite tax .

Please please please. But don't give Newcastle £80m for him ffs. Gordon is nowhere near Premier League title challenging level, which is where Liverpool want to get back to.Kind of hope they buy Gordon. On the Barry/Beto/Delap discussion.. would we sell Barry now at (presumably) a loss? Beto with one year left. I’d like to keep him, but you wonder if they can effectively swap him for a perceived upgrade then you figure they probably will.
Or would we keep both and sign someone else also? In that case as others have said would it not be a good move to diversify a little and go for a different profile of striker as a complement.
For sure.If we could sell Barry at a £7m loss, and get delap for £5m less than his clause from last summer…
I’d think be good with that ye know

But that means we're stuck with Barry, who is worse than Beto. We won't sell both.Keeping Beto under current conditions is bad business. He has one year left on his deal, which would make him transfer free at the end of next season. We are not in a position to let players walk out of the door without recouping some money. Also extending his contract would mean he will have very little resale value in a few years agewise.
If he was pure quality all of this would be no issue but he just isn't. This is exactly the situation/player which we should move on and get an upgrade.

Absolutely. He would probably interest Serie A and The Turkish league clubs but as we all know they are tighter than Daffy's bottom .….not forgetting, players have to agree to a transfer. Beto might not want a new deal or a move this summer.
It’s often not straightforward this transfer business.
Thiago would ofc be a brilliant signing.I'd do what I could to sign Thiago from Brentford. If he's £60mil then sell one of the other two for £20mil and bring him in.
Remember, Moyes signed: Beattie, Johnson & Yakubu all for big fees.
Would not shock me if he broke our transfer record for a CF.
I think we recently appointed that chap with a feat record at youth/academy level with a view to addressing this issue. We have needed it for a long time tbhWith Dibling, Rohl and Aznou I think they were signed with more long term goals in mind. Obviously we want them to contribute right away, but I don't think people at the club were necessarily expecting to see tons from them until next season.
People ask every window why we don't sign young up and coming players before they make it big and their value skyrockets- the tradeoff to that is their first year or two are often a bit rocky and inconsistent before they really start to flourish.
