Tottenham Hotspur

I think it's.mad how close we've come. We've been bottom 3 on the final day, or needing 2 wins from the last 3 or 4 games. And we've always stayed up and we've always had such a strong belief until the final point that saw us safe.
We've had utter crap players score amazing goals, we've had comeback games, cheating games, lucky games, guy bikelocked to goalpost games. Somehow, we've done it every time.

Tottenham have one bad year when they nearly went down, then they just go. Just like that. Theyre out of the league unless they win 3 of 6 games. I can't believe it.

I was home for the Crystal Palace game, DCL header.
I was working away for the Bournemouth game, but I watched it live on TV and remember vividly that Pickford fingertip save in the dying seconds.

I never want to go through those emotions ever again.

If they do go it’s probably the most shocking relegation I can personally remember, more so even than Leeds, Newcastle and Villa were (I wasn’t around for Man United dropping)

You could see Leeds and Newcastle coming a mile off, due to the mad boom or bust financial models that they were operating at the time, so I don`t think they were that much of a shock tbh.

Villa to me was the bigger one.

The state of that decision. The fans are trying to help in any way they can and you essentially tell them to sod off.

Absolutely tone deaf from De Zerbi IMO. A big coach welcome to pump the players up and get the atmosphere rocking? No ta, instead I'd prefer that they arrive early so I can make them do some extra anaylsis work. Imagine the toxicity if they don't win it now.

Did even we beat them that season?
Yep at goodison
Mick Lyons 1-O they had beat us a month or two earlier 3-0 .
We were there game in hand on the teams around them.
City beat them at the weekend.
The famous Dennis law Goal game .
They got relegated.
Went to Chelsea the year they went down we drew 1-1
They went down a few weeks later.
Not to sure but I think it was there last home game.

Roberto De Spursy decision

Probably knows the players will just bottle it if the fans show up demanding passion before the game

Imagine the crowd, he's done them a favour, transplant the crowd in their corduroy and tweed from the boat race a couple of weeks back and have them bopping about to something hysterical. I can't pick an embarrassing enough piece of music here.
